Today Mille Miglia is a regularity race for historic cars race, and develops on 49 regularity trials.
Regularity races are a kind of manifestation in which time respect is the main factor for final standing.
It’s an error to mistake regularity races with velocity races, ‘cause in regularity races the aim of the piloti s to respect time table and not to beat time, or make the lower time.
Regularity races as Mille Miglia are done on streets open to normal traffic, and this is a wonderful feature of these tipe of races.
Cars which want to partecipate to regularity races, according to the international regulations, are required to have a “FIVA Passport” (Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens), issued by the home country federation (NSA).
